Senior DevOps Engineer (Permanent)

Senior DevOps Engineer - Ecommerce

Looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a high-growth E-commerce company based in the South West. This is a serious opportunity for a DevOps engineer looking to take ownership of cloud infrastructure and automation across multiple projects.

The Role:
As Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure on AWS/GCP using technologies like Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines. You'll work closely with development teams to streamline workflows, improve system reliability, and ensure seamless deployments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure using AWS/GCP services
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and monitoring
  • Collaborate with developers to containerise applications using Kubernetes
  • Optimise system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive monitoring
  • Mentor and guide a team of 2 junior DevOps engineers
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer or similar role
  • Strong proficiency with AWS/GCP cloud platforms
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD tools
  • Expertise in Python and Scripting languages
  • Solid understanding of containerisation, virtualisation, and cloud security best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Collaborative team player with strong communication skills
